Case study

Two games, one universe, built and run by us.

StupidMonkeys is the universe FREDD Studios built and ran itself: Realm Hero, an action RPG in Unity; YourStupidMonkeyPet, a browser companion game whose progress carries into Realm Hero; and the ERC-721 collection, minting pipeline and marketplace underneath them.

The brief we set ourselves.

Ship two games, a 2,664-piece collection with three evolution stages and eight classes, a marketplace and a public site as one coherent product, with a team of five at peak.

It is the work we point to when a client asks whether we can take a product from idea to live: engineering and art, by the same two people who scope your project. Everything is still online at stupidmonkeys.io.
